KS1 learnt about Florence Nightingale and the Victorian Period. All the children dressed up and took part in a Florence Nightingale Day. They looked at (and touched!) lots of Victorian artefacts and made their own during craft sessions: medals, sashes, peg dolls, pill boxes, diaries and lockets. The photo depicts children making herbal remedies during a role play of Scutari Hospital. Children took on a variety of roles in the hospital: patients, nurses, laundry workers, cooks and even newspaper reporters!
