At the start of 2009, the school held Money Week. Each class was given £5 and challenged to 'grow' their money. Classes thought up different ideas for making money, including making cakes, bird feeders and hot chocolate to sell. Classes chose when they wanted to sell their wares, many making use of the market which was held at the end of the week. The photo depicts Class 1 selling popcorn at playtime. Collectively, the school raised £132, which will be spent on games for the children to use in their classes during wet playtimes. The children also discussed where money comes from and the types of things on which adults have to spend it.
