When our class visited the National Gallery in London we saw this painting. It is called 'Water Lily Pond' and it was painted by Claude Monet, one of the Impressionist artists. It is a scene from Monet's garden. He loved to paint thick, rich mixtures of colours, with shadows made of dark blues and greens. I painted the bridge first and then added the water lilies under it.
